Chief Financial Officer (CFO) / Finance Director (m/f/x) EVENTIM USA LLC

In your role as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) you are responsible for defining, documentation and establishing day to day financial process based on extensive financial experience and knowledge. You must successfully work with team members to implement and sustain all national and international financial reporting and oversight. You will be tasked with fostering an effective interaction between local service providers, partners, clients and stakeholders. You will be responsible for spearheading effective governance, financial controlling and monitoring risk management activities while working within the EVENTIM group’s international standards, internal procedures and US law. A major part of your time will be spent maintaining exemplary relations with the EVENTIM group´s headquarters in Germany and acting as a primary point of contact for all financial topics. 

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES 

 

  • Drive the company’s financial planning, and strategic financial development
  • Establishing and implementing effective risk management strategies including strategies for fraud prevention in electronic commerce and currency hedging
  • Establishing and implementing a governance model, working closely with an external firm to ensure legal and regulatory compliance objectives are consistently met
  • Establishing a taxation strategy for best possible commercial usage of taxable income and losses between EVENTIM Germany and EVENTIM USA
  • Establishing and maintaining a cash management strategy for maximising cash on account and generating interest income
  • Accountable for the preparation of consolidated GAAP financial statements including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes
  • Designing and implementing a financial settlement process with partners and clients to administrate accounts payable/receivable and ticket monies
  • Establishing and documenting the financial controlling framework
  • Regular budget forecasting based on business needs
  • Managing and maintaining relationships with banks and payment service providing companies
  • Coordinate with external auditors to ensure completion of audit requests, and aid in the research and analysis of audit issues raised
  • To guarantee the success of the venture, assume other roles and responsibilities as required or instructed by the CEO

YOUR KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • An advanced degree in Finance, Auditing, Controlling or Business Administration
  • Extensive experience of finance management in a start-up environment or on projects
  • Ticketing or Live Entertainment experience, preferably within the context of a industry leading, international company
  • Experience in team management
  • Ability to work within multicultural atmosphere and manage multi-cultural client relationships with patience, transparency and fairness
  • A positive problem solving attitude
  • Strategic thinking
  • CPA is a strong advantage
  • Tenacity, precision, flexibility and diligence
  • Ability to work well under strict deadlines and in a high-pressure environment on complex projects
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional (fluent-equivalent) oral and written communication in English, preference will be given to candidates with German and French or Spanish language skills
  • Supportive and reliable team member with a collaborative approach
  • Flexible and adaptable as the team grows to take on new and alternate responsibilities
  • Readiness and ability to undertake business trips within the United States and to Europe
