Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) / Commercial Director (m/f/x) EVENTIM USA LLC

In your role as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) you function as a sales driven leader, with a passion for live entertainment and ticketing and you can demonstrate a track record of growth. You will be responsible for driving our commercial sales process, working closely with the management team, and the global commercial team. The role will also liaise across the leaders of all our service departments. This opportunity requires a foundational understanding of Technology (preferably in a start-up) or Marketing role of an international company, with a strong appreciation of platform, partners and the ecommerce ecosystem.

 

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Develop and implement a business development plan, in line with internal procedures, best practices, industry knowledge and local legislation
  • Ensure business development targets are met by setting targets and following-up of performance incl. deciding on corrective actions as needed to achieve objectives and implement best practices, providing regular updates to senior leadership
  • Maintain business and market knowledge including an awareness of competitor movements, industry developments, trends and client demands to identify business development opportunities
  • Execute sales conversations with new and existing clients/intermediaries through to completion of contract
  • Initiate, build and maintain relationships with intermediaries and other relevant parties
  • Perform negotiations on contract and conditions with key customers incl. preparation and conduction of business plans
  • Oversee bottom-up sales forecast to meet annual budget and financial forecast requirements as well as taking responsibility for related P&L and commercial budget
  • Manage and execute sales & marketing approach, customer mix and volume mix to optimize profitability and fulfil overall relevant goals
  • Ensure long term price strategy and secure agreed pricing levels aligned to strategic and local pricing levels, which contributes to sustainable profitability
  • Build and maintain strong relationship and collaboration within sales and related functional teams such as marketing, operations and finance, and secures coordination on country level as needed
  • Lead, direct and develop the respective sales organization in terms of their structure, people and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness

YOUR KEY KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, or Law
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a commercial role, preferably within the Live Entertainment or music industry
  • Experience in team management
  • Ability to work within multicultural atmosphere and manage multi-cultural client relationships with patience, transparency and fairness
  • Extensive experience in working with different types of companies and corporate structures
  • Track record of successfully developing new business
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to audit and analyze data
  • Detailed understanding of corporate governance, relevant local regulations and best practices
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills with experience in effectively communicating across multiple jurisdictions
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, technical, cross jurisdictional environment
  • Commercially driven, confident, flexible and committed
  • Self-motivated, can work well both independently and in a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio, Sharepoint, Power BI. Additionally, familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence, Tableau, Workday an asset
